For Patients & Caregivers

Navigating Your Care Journey Together

Understanding home health care can be complex. We are here to make the process simple, transparent, and stress-free for your family.

Personal & Companion Care (Non-Skilled)

What is Personal Care (Non-Skilled)?

  • What it is: Assistance with daily living to maintain safety and independence.
  • Services: Bathing, dressing, meal preparation, and light housekeeping.
  • Who Pays: Private Pay, Long-Term Care Insurance, or specific Medicaid waivers.

Do I Qualify for Medicaid Home Care?

To receive Home Care benefits under Medicaid, patients must meet specific criteria. The best process is to contact your  case manager from Direction Home and they will send out a referral to us if they request us.

Trust & Safety FAQs

Absolutely. Every Haven caregiver is a direct employee (not a contractor). They undergo:

  • Criminal background checks.
  • Drug testing and reference checks.
  • Annual continuing education (12 hours minimum).
  • Orientation and skills observation before ever entering a client's home.

A Haven Registered Nurse (RN) performs regular supervisory visits to ensure the care plan is being followed and to evaluate the caregiver's performance.

No. Whether you need a 2-hour check-in or 24/7 support, we have no minimum hour requirement for care.
